Kmart shopper finds 'perfect' gadget for annoying WFH problem: 'Bloody fantastic'
We've all been there. We make a nice hot cup of tea or coffee, take a few sips and then get distracted by work, kids, the phone ringing or one hundred other things, only to find our cup somewhere hours later, its contents stone cold.
It's a tragic tale - particularly for anyone in dire need of a caffeine hit - but a solution to the problem can now be found within the aisles of everyone's favourite budget retailer. That's right, Kmart is coming to our rescue to ensure that we never again need to feel the savage disappointment of raising a cup to our lips to be met with something that tastes like an April Fool's Day prank.
Aussie mum Renita Henry May tells Yahoo Lifestyle that the Kmart Warming Mug is "great value" at $29, especially for busy mums, and she is planning to buy one to test out as soon as they become available in her local store.
"I like to make my coffee and slowly enjoy it during the busy school rush of the morning," she tells us. "It's perfect for those lazy Sundays too, where you just want to take your time enjoying your coffee."

Fellow Aussie Mum Taylah Jane recently shared the $29 find on her social media accounts, calling it "the best SAHM (stay-at-home mum) or WFH gadget."
Responding to one of her followers, Taylah assured them that the warming mug - which keeps drinks warm at approximately 55 degrees Celsius - worked well so far and that she was happy with the purchase.
Plenty of parents expressed their excitement for the product, with one writing, "Dealing with kids I can’t remember how many times I warned my coffee and kept on forgetting. This is the best way to keep it warm!"
Another said, "A mum definitely designed this mug! 😂" while someone else wrote, "OMG need one of these as in office work, you never get to finish a drink when it is hot!! Well, I don’t!! 🔥."
Renita agrees that it's not just parents who would find the warming mug useful, saying, "I think busy working people, mums and dads and office workers would really benefit from this product.
"I’d just be a little careful if you were plugging this into a computer to power up - we wouldn’t want spilt drinks on a computer."
After Renita shared the mug on her popular Facebook page Foodie Mumma Ren, she was also inundated with comments from shoppers who thought it was the best thing since sliced bread (or hot tea, as it were).
"They would make the best baby shower gifts!!," one wrote.
"I’ll have one for Easter thanks," another said, while others noted it would make a great Mother's Day gift.
"I bought one this week bloody fantastic," was another comment.
"Oh wow. I have one of the $200 Ember mugs," another shopper said. "I actually don't like it. $29 is a much more reasonable price though."
If you are particularly attached to your own mug (I know I am!) then you can also find desktop mug warmers at Kmart for just $12, and in three different colours (blue, purple and green).
